The Laws of Cricket (abridged)Two men in white coats come out with bits of wood and stick them in the ground. Then 11 others in white shirts and pants come out and stand around. Then two men carrying bats come out, and immediately go in. Play proceeds until one of the two men in is out, when another comes out and goes in to replace him. This continues until all the team that is in have come out, gone in and been out, except for one who stays in and is therefore not out. Then everyone goes in until later, when the team that was in comes out and the team that was out goes in. When both teams have come out and gone in, including all the outs and the not outs, that's the end of the game. |
