1978 Season[Previous Season] | [Next Season] Averages and results available. Report of the Hon. Secretary, as presented at the AGM: We ended up 4th in the league. Woodhall were again winners. The league results were very mixed with the club still not performing well against the stronger teams in the league. In general the team's performances were dominated by a few individuals and the club still needed to strive for a balanced performance. Mr. D. Cross had an especially good season with the bat scoring 433 runs at an average of 27. His highest score was 79 not out against the Maccabi. Mr. P. Cross scored 155 more runs then the club's next highest scorer, Mr. L. Glassey. Mr. R. Cogdell and Mr. R. Downie both took over 25 wickets. But perhaps the biggest impact on the team was made by Mr. D. MacKintosh. Mr. D. MacKintosh only began playing for the club after the end of the students' season. In his five games he scored wall over 100 runs and took 14 wickets. Mr R. Cogdell |
