The 1988 season has ended. It was a very mixed season for the Staff Cricket Club and like the curate's egg: was good in parts. We were very successful in the Glasgow Evening League and won our devision comfortably. However, we were equally poor at the weekends and finished bottom of the Strathclyde Leage.

But all things considered the season was a happy one for the club and I am sure that everybody will remember the positive things about it.

This has been my last season as captain and I want to thank all the team members for their friendship and support. I wish the new captain evey success for the 1989 season and I hope that he gets the same intense enjoyment out of it that I did.
